My PM Kirsten doll is pretty old and VERY dirty, especially her face! her paint has almost completely faded on her face and has almost NO color whatsoever! her lips and cheeks are so colorless that she almost looks ! I want to keep her as origional looking as possible but I would like to give her some of her color back. Any ideas on how I can clean her and add some color to her face without ruinning her? I have to access to a mr clean eraser to clean her and I have fresh run out of ideas!!! PLEASE help!!!
I would really appriciate it

Anna, all I can say is talk to kitschywoman! She is the person you need to consult for the BEST doll makeovers!

Angie at Gillygals also does wonderful restoration work. She's redone three of our dolls--including a white bodied Kirsten who you just wouldn't believe the difference in when we got her back, a Molly my youngest had since she was two (you can imagine), and a PM Josefina who was a beautiful doll but had really been 'used' by her previous owner). Her price (at least last Christmas) was $25 per doll, plus shipping.

I really advocate doing your own restoration work if you're up to the challenge. It's a great way to bond with your doll. However, Angie (GillyGals) and I have met in person, and I can say that she does wonderful work.
If you're interested in learning the techniques I use for applying facial color, they're in this post...

I'm not sure what Angie uses, but I imagine it's similar.
